I’m using Inoreader as my RSS reader now. I started going back through Facebook Pages that I have followed to get the RSS feed from each businesses website. 1. Much to my amazement some businesses don’t have their own website, 2. some big companies do not have an RSS feed! Their only options were “Follow us on Facebook and Twitter.” Scary.
I wonder if they realize how dangerous that is? You never make yourself totally dependent on “free” services from another company. Those services, especially the “free” part could disappear tomorrow.

So, duh, I just discovered Pocket getpocket.com I’d seen it around for years but never really looked into it. The Chrome extension works great for saving stuff to read later across many devices. Win!

Just installed and configured @vivaldibrowser (Linux) and I love it. It’s like coming Home, like a modern version of old school Opera.
New System76 laptop on the way. I’m going back to Linux because Windows is out of the question and I am increasingly worried about Apple’s walled garden.
It will be nice to have a real keyboard again and it will make blogging much easier.
