Staycation over. Spent the last week not doing much except reading for pleasure. It’s been a long time since I could immerse myself in a fictional world like that and it felt kinda nice.
π Currently reading “White Knight”, Dresden Files #9. By Jim Butcher. These books are immersive and addictive. I think the writing and editing improve with each book.
Does popcorn count as a Whole Grain?

I have no opinion on Cardi B. I don’t feel compelled to have an opinion on Cardi B, for or against, as social media would have it, cos I know nothing about her. All this focus on celebs is just a distraction.
Got the early spring fertilizer and crabgrass killer down on the lawn. This year I’m switching from Tru-Green service to doing it myself with Scott’s 4 Step. Saving a lot of money this way.
Twitter Survival Guide: Don’t click on “Promoted Tweets”. Most of the time, these go to sites made to show maximum advertisements over maximimum page views. Click bait.

It’s tax time. Needed to print out hard copies of PDF tax docs emailed to me end of last week. Elderly laser printer connected to iMac. But iMac died last year. Hooked up cheapo replacement linux laptop to replace iMac. Laptop test prints fine. PDF’s print as garbage. Waste lots of paper trying different things, different browsers. Still garbage. Finally try downloading PDF’s to hard drive and print. Works.
Meanwhile, my couple of months old Kobo ereader’s battery has started draining abnormally fast - 100% to 5% in one hour. Trying factory reset. Unit charging. Will test. Meanwhile I will look up to see if it’s covered under warranty.
Between these two things, just trying to print some damn documents and troubleshooting an ereader with battery problems has taken up the better part of a day.
And we haven’t even gotten to the taxes yet.
