No power all afternoon. Just came back on. Now internet out.

The Bluejay blasts out it’s alarm caw. Seconds later, a Cooper’s Hawk glides by just above the rooftops. All the songbirds, and the small and meek mammals of the lawn, always heed that call of the Bluejay.

It might be my imagination, but it seems like Facebook is sending me more notifications when friends post. I wonder if their algo has picked up that I don’t check in very much or if they have a general dropoff in viewers and are flushing people out?

I think @manton fixed the web app problem in Android and Firefox. Auto spell suggestions now work when posting. Thanks!

I’m using Win10. I will have to wear dark sunglasses, turn up my collar and pull my hat down when I go out now. :-) It isn’t half bad.

Playing on the Wayback Machine on Archive.org. I just found my first real directory/portal. This will generate some new posts.

What I like about this McDonald’s is they play Classical music.

New Windows 10 laptop on order. Linux laptop still in hospital. Ongoing problem with Macbook being finicky about charging is a pain. It didn’t charge last night. Probably a $100 charger unit. I need one dependable machine.

Still working with support on ticket for Linux laptop. We are sudo-ing our head off in between store run, lawn mowing, eating. Meanwhile, I ordered a Windows 10 laptop. This should be interesting the last ver. of Win. I truely used was WindowsME which turned me into a Mac user.

Oh Fudge! My fancy schmancy Linux laptop just locked me out. Reboot gives me command line. Support ticket opened. I am not happy.

I’m waiting for the Gutenberg editor to come out on Wordpress. I’ll try it when it does, but I have the Classic Editor plugin installed just in case. I guess it’s supposed to make posts look more Squarespace like. Pffft.

Also on Mastodon.social I like that bots are identified as such. I had a polite bot stop by and let me know it was following me and how to block it if I wanted. That bot was from a new Mastodon instance that needed some filler posts for it’s local timeline. Kinda nice.

On Mastodon.social “Tech News Bot” is pretty darn good. If you are new there and looking for something to fill your feed it’s a nice overview of tech news. You can unfolllow the bots as you find more people to follow.

Branding Fail: Crest Pro-Health Advanced toothpaste. There are now so many types of Crest Pro-Health toothpaste all in almost the same box label, that I have no clue what the differences are. I want the blue gel type I bought last year.
