Fair warning, XTwitter is on borrowed time with me. I can no longer follow or unfollow people for the last few months and it’s like Russian roulette if other account settings will work and I don’t know why. I can still post, read and comment but it seems like many people that I follow have quit posting or post less.

Kids and teens can’t wait to grow up and be adults. They think it’s gonna be cool. Well, I just bought three bags of rocks. Read: gravel. Not fancy gravel, but lowly “general purpose” gravel (cheapest) because I have to fill a hole washed out by the sump pump. Adulting is not about cars, sex and booze, it’s about paying your hard earned money out to buy bags of fecking rocks. Plus sales tax. They tax rocks.

I have totally lost the plot as to when somebodies reply to my post gets added to the post page on my microblog and when it doesn’t and who is talking to whom. Indieweb webmentions et al, plus Fediverse plus native MB timeline (or is it Fediverse masquerading as MB timeline?)

Bluesky is a good source for cat pics. That’s all I use it for, cat pics.

Advertising is about making you feel insecure and that you will only be happy if you use their product.

I still miss the White Castle that closed in Chesterton, Indiana. It wasn’t much but it was handy for Slider Emergencies. All the others are too far away.

I’m predicting that superhero capes will be the next Spring clothing fashion fad. Just imagine yourself jogging with your cape streaming out behind you. Or mowing the lawn or walking the dog. Spice up suburbia, wear that superhero cape like a boss.

Yesterday, 30 March 2024, I heard one of my neighbors mowing their lawn. Just for the record: it’s still frellin March here in Chicagoland. It snowed like a day ago. I will not mow my lawn until at least April. It’s a Rule.

Supply chain? Where did all the cat pics go?

Bliss! I’m back to drinking my favorite tea, Yorkshire Red teabags, again. I’d bought a box of cheap store brand tea (100 bags) and quickly regretted it as a slogged through it. I finally used it up and it’s back to Yorkshire tea which is so much better.

I think XTwitter only has two advertisers left: 1. Oreo cookies, 2. some liver guy (I’ve no idea what that’s about and don’t want to know.) Those are the two adverts I’m seeing repeatedly for weeks. Pretty sad.

I came across this map directory listing the locations of memorial benches. We spend a lot of time fretting about moving people around on roads, trains, trails and transit, but sometimes a place to rest, to be still is important too. A place with meaning to observe and think.

I’m kinda bummed that I have no pie for pi day.

There is no such thing as having to many books. You didn’t need to actually be move around in those rooms anyway.

Factoid: There are no boulders native to NW Indiana. Any boulders here have either been imported or have migrated here.
