I follow an account on Xtwitter that I really enjoy only I don’t know how long either they or I will be able to stay on XTwitter or even if XTwitter will survive. The thought of losing those posts made me sad. Fortunately, the account @hookland.bsky.social has started syndicating to Blue Sky.
I recommend it, because it helps keep the weird and the imagination on the internet.
Pre-Pandemic, I used to be able to buy hard boiled eggs in a sealed pouch at the grocery store. Somewhere along the line they disappeared from all the different stores I shop at. Is this the ubiquitous supply chain issues three years on, lack of demand or a darker conspiracy like secret egg tunnels? Has anyone else noticed this disappearance?

You’re welcome.
I had heard there is a pickle shortage in the US on the radio. I only remembered that when I looked at a jar of Aldi pickles and saw they were a product of India. So I looked it up: National pickle shortage tied to extreme weather in Mexico | Yahoo News I had no idea. This has apparently not caused any great panic outside of pickle insider circles.
Thankfully, India has stepped up to keep us supplied.
I had Stouffer’s lasagna, which was actually pretty good, and a salad for supper. I don’t really have the energy for cooking and the cleanup anymore so heat and serve is good.

We need to come up with a better term than “content”.
Those shooting stars you see on occasion are not meteors. They are old glass jars of Tang jettisoned by Apollo astronauts back in the 1960’s, finally reentering the atmosphere.
Word is, the next Middle Earth movie is about Gollum. This is a really hard sell for me. I really don’t want to see a 2 - 3 hour movie about Gollum, let alone pay to see it.
I’m trying to eat healthier, so only organic, free range, paleo, Pop-Tarts from now on.

I just logged in to my car dealership to schedule an appt for service. The software automatically filled in my current vehicle mileage so obviously the car is phoning the manufacturer with data and the dealer has access to it. Not surprised, just noting privacy of where you go, how much you drive, where you are, etc. is gone with modern cars.
Brain worms explains a lot.
Interesting: I got a referral from SwissCows search engine. I don’t remember ever seeing them in my stats before. They use Bing as their search source.

So far, the hardest part of starting a new blog on Micro.blog is selecting a theme. There are so many good themes it was hard to choose. The problem is with me making a choice. I’m glad they are all there.
I just upgraded from regular Microblg to Microblog Premium and, no fooling, it has to be the easiest thing I’ve ever done online. Zero friction. Other online service companies should take note. More blogs on the way.
I just saw this: in France, a vending machine for guitar strings in a train station. I don’t think you would ever see this in the USA, because we go for for fast sales of high demand stuff that will kill you like candy, chips and in my youth, cigarettes. No place for music and arts.
