Just my opinion, but cars made today all look the same. Boring.
I think this is partly because cars are not being designed for customers, they are being designed for government regulations. That’s not all bad, but there is a difference.
Maybe that’s why nobody gets excited when new models come out.
This is why I have mixed feelings about the Cybertruck. The design is crazy and doesn’t appeal to me at all, but I sort of love that it is completely different than anything else on the road.
In the US at least, giant trucks/SUVs that get ever larger, wouldn’t seem to be anything government regulations are requiring.
@mcg True. Detroit goes through a size bloat cycle every couple of decades. That and I have a theory that part of consumer demand (if there really is any) for giant vehicles is a defensive reaction to so many semi-trucks on the roads.
@manton I like the Telo and Canoo takes on EV trucks. Especially the Telo’s size being reminiscent of the kei-truck I drove in Japan.
