Thanks—I actually caught @c’s tutorial for it on the Timeline last night and added it to the wiki 👍 👍

@smokey Excellent! That's why I cc'd you. :-) How are you liking Doku wiki?

Smokey Ardisson

The big wiki signal in the sky is working successfully, then.

Dokuwiki is working fine. There have been occasional issues with Markdown syntaxes collinding (I can’t bold something in a list), which I don’t know if it’s a DW issue or the Markdown plugin issue, and certain kinds of editing are painful on mobile, again but I don’t know if that’s DW or iOS, and 98% of the time I’m editing on the Mac…. The biggest plus is not having to wait for @eli to add something anymore ;-)

@smokey I installed a Dokuwiki a few months ago and generally found it to be a nice bit of kit. At least I could figure it out, which is the baseline. Anyway I created a few pages but then stumped for what I would use it for so I uninstalled. I do like that it uses a flat file DB. My conclusion was that if I ever needed a wiki, Doku is what I would use. Mediawiki seems like overkill for my purposes.

Yeah, I think that unless you’ve got a really big “thing”, MediaWiki is probably overkill. Its ubiquity makes it the default choice a lot of times, I think.
