In terms of growth, 2018 saw our average daily private searches leap 63%, from 19 million to 31 million.
A lot of people will compare this to Google’s traffic and say it’s a drop in the bucket. While that may be true, the news here is that DDG is growing where other search platforms like: Excite, AltaVista, Yahoo. AOL. AlltheWeb, Magellan, Lycos have declined. And DDG has grown in spite of the full bore established monopoly dominance of Google - or perhaps
because of it.
