I think I’m becoming addicted to tea.

These Fire tablets from Amazon are not half bad if you are on a budget. Since they are using a forked version of Android I assume they are not phoning in all your activities to Google. Sure Amazon tracks you but for me I buy everything from them anyway.
After reading Is Your Antivirus Software Spying on You? | Restore Privacy, I finally dumped AVG Free on my Windows machine and after some research just went with Windows Defender which is already part of Win 10.
Brand New for Micro.blog bloggers a: Micro.blog Blogs Linear Ring. It’s open for any bloggers and their blogs that post to the MB community timeline. All blogs on Micro.blog are welcome to join.
I just bought a refurbished Filter Queen vacuum cleaner as part of the collection. ETA soonish.
Breaking: Guinea Pigs Rescued by PA State Police https://www.upi.com/Odd_News/2020/02/03/Pennsylvania-State-Police-rescue-guinea-pigs-next-to-road/8291580763613/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter
Also, a large percentage of UFO sightings seem to occur while people are walking their dogs. I think dogs might be in cahoots with the UFO’s. Where’s Scully and Mulder when you need them?
Somehow, I ended up on the MUFON site and discovered a UFO report from a small town in my county. Why that town there’s nothing there? I know that little town, they aren’t exactly welcoming to strangers. I think they all have shotguns too.
I fixed the damage I caused on my MB blog one day, the next I broke my directory script on my other site. Sigh. 1 for 1. Script doctor is looking at it. Another bump in the road to total world domination in search.
More goofy dog pics improves Twitter. Just saying.
I should do something soothing, like read a murder mystery.
When I see the same promoted post on Twitter for the second time, I quit scrolling the feed and leave.
Yes! I did fix my MB theme problem, although I may be stuck on Typewriter theme for the rest of my life. The ominous brown error warnings have disappeared from the admin panel and New Posts are writing to the blog once again. All bow before my awesome delete powers!
Oh, I think I might have fixed my theme problem. Testing.
Browser Mystery: I put an HTML webring code on the footer of my MB hosted blog and both FF and Vivaldi want to block that code from loading. Put the same code on Wordpress and both browsers load it just fine. Why the different treatment?
In case you missed it: How Many Bing Using Search Engines Can We Handle?
On the HTML front: I just downloaded BlueGriffon WYSIWYG editor. (Win, OS X, Linux). I needed it on my Linux laptop.
I’m toying with the idea of, once again, starting a retro 1990’s style webring hosted on Webringo. This time it would be a broad niche like “Personal websites and blogs”. Also, I think I would need to pre recruit some people to be members.
I activated the replies page on my blog with the Typewriter theme. It works okay. Needs pagination. Also needs links to the conversation thread because context can be everything in a conversation. Capturing our timeline replies is a very good first step for Micro.blog hosted blogs.
Hah! Amazon just delivered the complete boxed set of Star Trek: The Next Generation on DVD.
I’ve only seen a couple of episodes of TNG when it first ran so I figure if I’m going to watch the new Picard series I better have some background.
This blog has joined the Hotline Webring (code in the footer) because I still like webrings and I like this webring in particular. ramblinggit
Pro Tip: Don’t try to put a site search form in the MB blog header and have it look half way decent. I’m blaming CSS. I’m out of cuss words/phrases (never thought that would happen.)
