I subscribed to my regional newspaper
My local newspaper went out of business. It had been around for over 120 years and now it’s gone and that sucks be...So many big American corporations no longer innovate or make their own goods. They are run by CEO’s who are just fancy mercenaries and care nothing about product. All they are doing is fattening themselves up for merger or to be bought out.
This is just a gentle reminder that it’s Frozen Pizza Friday, a day of the week where we honor frozen pizzas by cooking them and chomping on pizza slices, sauce flying, like a shark feeding frenzy.
Pro Tip: In the US many frozen pizzas, once a luxury item, are now cheaper than a dozen eggs, making frozen pizza an attractive choice for supper or even breakfast.
The problem with the grossly inflated price of eggs is that once the price goes up it never returns to pre-inflation prices. Yeah the price will eventually come down but my bet is they won’t be cheap , Eggs used to be a staple because they were pretty cheap, now they are at luxury prices.

Local grocery store chain Strack & Van Til got bought by Hy-Vee. After several months they have now changed their house brand items to Hy-Vee brand. That move was expected. Not a bad thing just takes getting used to as a customer.

I’m not exactly gonna start rationing eggs, but I’m going to start rationing eggs.
I’m really not happy with any of the social media systems for community and discussion. Somehow I think commenting should be done directly on the blog post webpage or via Webmention and not on a timeline, which means no community. There is a lot of friction in those two methods plus you need a proper commenting system on the blog (third party stuff just does not work.)
I just joined Status.Cafe which is a sort of nano blog status thingy. It’s v. simple and I like it. It let’s me post little short things that I really don’t want showing up in the MB timeline nor cross posted. Good for my nonsense. It’s free and no long term commitments. :-)
I’m feeling fairly caffeinated so I guess I should make decaffeinated coffee instead of regular. -hangs head-
If you register for an online community or service and are supposed to get an email to complete said registration, how long does one wait for that confirmation email? I’m thinking 48 hrs since it appears to be a one man shop. That might be harsh but I’m not rechecking inbox forever.
