I still miss the White Castle that closed in Chesterton, Indiana. It wasn’t much but it was handy for Slider Emergencies. All the others are too far away.
I’m predicting that superhero capes will be the next Spring clothing fashion fad. Just imagine yourself jogging with your cape streaming out behind you. Or mowing the lawn or walking the dog. Spice up suburbia, wear that superhero cape like a boss.
AI ate my homework.
Twin Peaks’ Agent Cooper: How TV’s strangest detective was born
One of my favorite shows.
“Every year, back comes Spring, with nasty little birds yapping their fool heads off and the ground all mucked up with plants.”
– Dorothy Parker
Some people are saying the 2024 solar eclipse is a government trick or something.
I’m putting myself on record, right here and now, that I am pro solar eclipse. Because we have to keep things polarized.
Good morning. I’m marking time until the local Burger King opens.
Yesterday, 30 March 2024, I heard one of my neighbors mowing their lawn. Just for the record: it’s still frellin March here in Chicagoland. It snowed like a day ago. I will not mow my lawn until at least April. It’s a Rule.

Supply chain? Where did all the cat pics go?
Bliss! I’m back to drinking my favorite tea, Yorkshire Red teabags, again. I’d bought a box of cheap store brand tea (100 bags) and quickly regretted it as a slogged through it. I finally used it up and it’s back to Yorkshire tea which is so much better.
I think XTwitter only has two advertisers left: 1. Oreo cookies, 2. some liver guy (I’ve no idea what that’s about and don’t want to know.) Those are the two adverts I’m seeing repeatedly for weeks. Pretty sad.
I came across this map directory listing the locations of memorial benches. We spend a lot of time fretting about moving people around on roads, trains, trails and transit, but sometimes a place to rest, to be still is important too. A place with meaning to observe and think.
I’m kinda bummed that I have no pie for pi day.
There is no such thing as having to many books. You didn’t need to actually be move around in those rooms anyway.
Factoid: There are no boulders native to NW Indiana. Any boulders here have either been imported or have migrated here.

I strongly suspect that 50% of inflation is due to greed. Companies are cashing in for even larger profits on the backs of customers.
Because they can.
Coffee. Hot. Black. This is the only remedy for the hated time change.
A few years ago Aldi had a frozen pizza very similar in size and weight to a regular Tombstone pizza only at a much better price than Tombstone. Then Aldi shrunk the pizza and it had nowhere near the same net weight it once had. It became more of a snack than a meal and I quit buying them. Shame.
Good morning. It’s foggy outside and the fog smells of sulfur from the steel mill.
We need more ways to consume mashed potatoes. Like mashed potato pizzas.
Got a text from Comcast that I can expect Internet interruptions today as they upgrade some do-hickey in my area. This is supposed to give me faster Internets in the future or Real Soon Now. I’m hoping they get all do-hickeys upgraded today so I only have a one day outage.
I was just looking at the paid plans at Wordpress .com. WP.com is not for the individual blogger anymore, it’s for eCommerce, pros and corporations now. Granny’s knitting blog days are numbered. You can’t install plugins until you pay at least $25 per mo.! Which means you can’t get rid of the block editor until you pay $25 per mo either. One of the best parts of WP is their plugin system but not at that kinda price.
Also they have the option to split “WordAd” revenue, so it sounds like WP has built their own advertising network.
At least, there is no mistaking Automattic’s intentions now, they don’t care about the little guy/gal, it’s all about money and managed hosting schemes. No wonder that smaller blog hosting companies like Micro.blog, Write.as and others are springing up all over. They are filling the vacuum WP.com is creating at the affordable end of the cost range.
My prediction is that things like WP Reader will be allowed to atrophy since SEO’s, enterprise and corporate suits have no interest in community or reading some schmuck’s cat or travel blog.
I think I have all the stuff needed to make stir-fry.
