@Cheri @kulturnation I agree on prefering subtitles over dubbing, although most Americans don't like subtitles. I wish these shows would have been around wayback when I was studying foreign languages. They really help immerse you in the spoken language.

The only other German police/crime drama I have watched to any extent is parts of the Tatort series. The parts I watched were from the 1990's based in Koln (Cologne) and teamed up the characters "Freddy and Max". The acting was excellent and the episodes very well done.

Mhz also has The Undertaker Swiss (in German) which is wonderful, quirky, dark and amusing all at the same time. In fact it's my 3rd favorite foreign language detective/mystery series of all the ones I've watched.
