There is definitely something to eliminating “friction” in micro blogging.  WordPress seems to specialize in friction.

    • I forget who invented the term, but it refers to anything that makes writing and posting a (micro) blog post more of a chore. For example, the beauty of Twitter, Mastodon and Facebook is that there are almost no impediments to posting – just type and post. On a conventional blog platform like WordPress, you need to choose categories, then tags, then maybe Post Types, check to see where the post is being crossposted too, and come up with a title, etc. Each choice, each option is a point of friction – something that is slowing your ability to post your thoughts. I hope that explains it. 🙂
