News to me. There is a new privacy search engine in town using an old name.

[HotBot](https://www.hotbot.com/) is back and this time they are getting into the privacy respecting search niche. I know nothing about them, where they get their feed or who owns them, and information on the website is non-existant. In my very breif test their results pages were very clean and ad free. No clutter.

HotBot joins [Duckduckgo](https://duckduckgo.com/) and [Startpage](https://www.startpage.com/) in the privacy respecting seach engine category. Having choices is good.

This certainly took me by surprise.
